How to install Reptoir?

Reprtoir is a cloud-hosted web application, you do not need to install anything on your computer. You can access Reprtoir via any web browser on any Windows, Mac, Linux computer connected to the internet, like you would to access thousands of similar services (Gmail, Dropbox, Facebook).

Reprtoir’s engine runs on particularly advanced technologies, we advise our users to use Chrome, Vivaldi, Microsoft Edge 2019 or any other web browsers using Chromium for which we guarantee 100% compatibility.

Please note that you will need to use a desktop computer or a laptop to access Reprtoir (outside of the management interface) as the production interface does not work on mobile nor tablet at this time.

Is it easy to use?

Yes, using Reprtoir is rather straightforward, it does not require any particular knowledge or computer skills.

Whether it be navigation, lists, searches, editing, filtering, sorting, or exporting, there is only one way to do things, no matter what product you are using.

For example, once you’ve become accustomed to using the “filter lists” feature, you can filter any list inside any product the same way, without even thinking about it.

What is Reprtoir Software Platform?

Software Platform is the spine of Reprtoir. It is both the engine that pilotes the entire software suite, the user interface that manages navigation, ergonomics and functionalities common to most products. It is also where are stored the catalogs, contributors and tags.

The conception of Platform alone took 18 months of development before launching Reprtoir and we continue to improve it on a daily basis due to its essential role for the user’s experience.

Platform is offered without limitation, for free and for life.

Why offer so many products and add-ons?

The music industry is unparalleled in its magnitude. The sector being made up of vastly different players, from music production and publishing on one hand, that are both very close yet fundamentally different, to multinationals and independent artists on the other hand, the needs from one to the other differ immensely.

We created Reprtoir as a software suite containing several products. Offering a “one-size fits all” solution in the form of a single software would have probably been too costly for most of our potential users who don’t need every functionality.

This is why we decided to break down Reprtoir into several products, themselves having add-ons, in order to enable any client, at any stage of its development to select personalized functionalities and paying only for what they need. You can therefore choose the products and add-ons that are useful to your business to begin with. If you need to add new functionalities to your suite in the future, you will always have the possibility to subscribe to these whenever you wish. You only pay for the services you have subscribed to.

Can I try your products for free?

Yes, most of our products can be used free of charge to a certain limit. You can do in-depth testing and even use products in real conditions without the frustration of a time-limited trial period.

As long as you do not exceed the free usage maximum limit per product, you can use Reprtoir for free.

It is also our way of helping smaller structures in their beginnings and independent artists in using state of the art products.

Are free of charge products really for free?

Yes, free of charge products such as CRM and Rights Manager are 100% free. There are no hidden costs. You can use these products without limitation, for free and for life.

Why can’t I access certain products?

There are several reasons why some products are no longer accessible to you in your account. You have, either, exceeded the maximum free usage limit of a product without linking a credit card to your account, or, your credit card has expired and you have not updated your payment details in your account before the 1st of the month (payments are processed on that day). As long as we are unable to debit the amounts charged, the access to the products involving a transaction will remain denied.

Can I use an add-on if I am not paying for the product it is linked to?

Yes, when it is possible, you can pay for the use of an add-on without paying for the product it is linked to, as long as you have not exceeded the maximum free usage threshold. Let’s take the example of a Reprtoir account in which 70 tracks are hosted in Audio Manager. Nothing prevents the user from subscribing to Metadata Collector to enjoy the additional functionalities of this add-on for the 70 tracks for free.

Do you offer a free of charge level of use of the add-ons?

No, most add-ons have a trial period of 14 days during which you can carry out tests without limitation. You can start your trial period from the management interface of your account at any time.

What happens at the end of the trial period of an add-on?

You must manually unsubscribe from an add-on you are testing in order to end the trial period. This prevents you from being charged in the future for any usage over what the free tier permits.

For this, you simply have to log into the Settings of your accounts, head to the Subscriptions page under the Billing section and unsubscribe from the add-on you want to stop using.

How do I activate or reactivate an add-on?

From your Settings, you can subscribe to and reactivate an add-on at any time, whether it be for the trial period of 14 days or, if you have already used it up, for commercial use which will begin on the day of its reactivation.

How will I be charged for my Reprtoir use?

Reprtoir’s payment policy for the pricing of most of our services is based on usage. With Reprtoir, you only pay for the services you need for as long as you are using them without being tied to a long term contract or managing complex and costly software licenses.

The pricing of Reprtoir is similar to services such as water or electricity. You only pay for services you need and use, if you wish to stop using them you can do so at no additional costs or termination fees.

Do you charge extra set up costs?

Unless you have subscribed to one of our dedicated setup services, which is absolutely not mandatory, you won’t be charged any hidden setup costs. If you require help to bulk import your catalog or require training we can recommend additional services.

Do you charge extra costs per user?

No, whether you are the sole user of an account or your team includes hundreds of people, we do not charge any extra costs per user using Reprtoir.

What payment methods do you accept?

For the time being, we accept payments by Visa, MasterCard and American Express only. Depending on the demand from European customers we will consider the possibility of payments via SEPA direct debit. If you are interested in this payment method please contact us.

Do you accept Paypal?

We do not accept payments by Paypal and do not intend to do so in the future. Our payment method supplier is Stripe. For further information please contact us or go to the Stripe website.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged every 1st of the month. The amount charged will take into account the totality of the products used in the preceding month.

Do you provide invoices?

Yes, an invoice in PDF format is made every 1st of the month with the details of usage from the preceding month. It is available for download in the management interface of your account.

Do you provide receipts?

No, the invoice acts as a receipt from the moment the transaction has been charged.

Do the indicated prices include taxes?

No, unless otherwise specified, our public prices do not include VAT.

Will I be paying VAT?

We comply scrupulously with the European legislation for the application of VAT. The added VAT to your invoice depends on your status and on your registered address. If your business is registered in France, you will pay 20% VAT. If your business is registered in any other country in the world, VAT does not apply.

Why do I have to specify my intra-community VAT number?

If your business is registered in a country of the European Union (EU) you have the obligation to indicate your intra-community VAT number in the management interface of your account in order for us to define your eligibility to the payment of VAT Also enabling us to specify your VAT number on the invoice, which is a legal obligation.

Do you offer discounts?

The prices of most of our products decrease as you use them, therefore you will benefit from discounts on volume, enabling you to save money as your usage consumption grows.

However, we can offer personalized prices to businesses that exceed our simulator’s threshold. If this is your case, please contact us.

Can I benefit from a discount on long term contracts?

Reprtoir does not offer long term or medium term contracts, our pricing is based on monthly product usage. It is similar to your electricity bill, you cannot pay in advance as you won’t know your future usage precisely.

However and depending on the demand, we would consider setting up a prepayment for our clients which would in return receive a bigger discount. If you are interested in this kind of offer, please contact us.

Will your prices increase in the future?

Yes, this is no secret and it is normal. The more we improve existing functionalities and launch new add-ons the more prices will increase, it’s logical.

However, this increase will only be applied to new customers and to products or add-ons that you have not yet used at the time of the increase. In other words, as a client of a product or add-on, you will not undergo its increase in price, even when we add major functionalities.

Do you offer support?

Yes, all accounts benefit from a free access to our help center integrated in Reprtoir. The help center allows you to make searches using keywords and get answers in the form of a user manual often illustrated by an explanatory video whenever we think it is necessary for better comprehension.

You can also reach out to us via our chat and by email on working days for support, Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. – France Time: Central European Time (CET). We usually answer free accounts within a maximum delay of 2 working days and for paying accounts in less than 8 hours. We handle requests by order of arrival but also by priority. A request for support that truly has a user blocked will be addressed in priority.

Paying accounts are generally followed by a dedicated agent who will provide specific attention to your questions and issues efficient in helping you. Your agent will offer to fix certain problems by telephone or via screen sharing depending on the case. We also offer more advanced support options. Do you offer training?

Yes, we offer on-demand introductions and training either remotely or in person. Additional costs may apply. If you are interested in this kind of service, please contact us.

I no longer want to use Reprtoir, what should I do?

To stop using Reprtoir, all you have to do is delete enough content to get your account back under the free maximum limit, thus keeping your account open without being charged. If you’d prefer to completely delete your account from Reprtoir.
